Morning Departure – On a routine peacetime mission, the crew of HM Submarine Trojan runs afoul of an electrically operated mine, leftover from the war. An unavoidable explosion sends the ship plunging to the seabed. Emergency signals are sent, and the Captain assembles the survivors to make an escape plan. Some can escape, but others will have to wait for the rescuers to arrive.

Tiara Tahiti – Sir John Mills and James Mason star as two long-time rivals. Brett (James Mason) is the nephew of a wealthy uncle, and envied by Clifford Southey (Sir John Mills), a clerk for the firm. Brett’s cool and privileged demeanor make Southey constantly jealous, so when Brett is appointed to Southey’s regiment where he has been in charge for a long time, Southey is fearful of the effect this will have both on his authority and his self-esteem.

The Long Memory – John Mills stars as Davidson, an embittered convict who has been released from prison after serving a sentence for a murder he did not commit. Ill at ease in the company of others, he takes refuge on a barge, which is constantly under surveillance by police. He determines to ruin his enemies one-by-one and tracks them down only to find himself drawn into a new crime, which will bring him face to face with the true murderer.

History of Mr. Polly – John Mills stars in this celebrated adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic novel. Alfred Polly is a sensitive soul. His job as a draper’s assistant does not suit him at all and when, one day he is sacked for day-dreaming, he despairs of ever finding another job. His father’s death suddenly brings him a large inheritance, and with it he purchases a bike and sets off to find himself.
