THE BROTHERS O探OOLE [DVD-R]
In this wild and wacky western, a pair of slick drifters wander into a poor broken-down mining town, with ambitions of milking the town even drier.
MPAA Rating: G
Follow the misadventures of a pair of slick drifters who by chance ride into the sleepy broken-down mining town of Molybdenum, Colorado, in the late 1890s. The town is so impoverished that the local bank can’t even scrape together $25 to loan to one of its customers. However, everyone in the hamlet owns stock in the Molybdenum mine, but then again, nobody know what Molybdenum is good for!
The town is ripe for plucking but before the brothers O’Toole can unpack their bag of tricks, Michael, played by John Astin, is jailed and the town prepares for the trial and the hanging. Michael is a victim of mistaken identity since he is a look-alike for the local scourge, Desperate Ambrose. The younger O’Toole attempts a jailbreak but fails, and just when the hanging is about to take place, Michael’s true identity is discovered and he is released. The story is the classic confrontation between the good and the bad in the old West – with a humorous touch.
The movie concludes with a surprise ending, designed to delight for the whole family!
